Charlie Mason III

March 22, 1993 — February 15, 2023

Charles “Charlie” Mason III found his peace and went home to his Creator on February 15th, 2023. His soul was not meant for this world, and he knew that.

Charlie is survived by his parents, Chuck and Jennifer; sisters Jessica (Bill), Alex, and Danielle; nieces and nephews- Melody, Noah, Autumn, Collin, Anthony and Alyssa; and countless other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Shirley and his Great Aunt MaryLou. He loved his family and friends and valued them deeply.

To know Charlie was to love him. He lit up the room he was in, always. He loved deep, powerful conversation. He shared no interest in superficial things of this world and focused his time and energy on what mattered. Charlie found great joy in giving unique gifts to those closest to him. Some of his favorite things were all things hippie, music, a great steak, technology and gadgets, knives and guns, sweet red wine, the latest tv shows/movies, and air conditioning.

Charlie was the richest person I know- rich in love, understanding, and wisdom beyond most people’s comprehension. He sought and found a profound wisdom of the universe and it’s workings in a way that can’t be taught or described. He knew who he was and embraced it. Charlie had a brilliant mind, and he would encourage us all to keep searching- for love, peace, truth, and understanding of our origins.

The family will be planning a celebration of life picnic this spring at Nelson’s Ledges and would love for everyone who loved Charlie to come. For those interested in giving, a GoFundMe has been set up to help with cremation expenses.
