Bonnie Walker

November 2, 1927 — December 5, 2022

Bonnie's life began on 11-2-27 deep in the hills of West Virginia. She was the youngest of 8 siblings. Her dad was a lumberjack and that's where her vast knowledge of trees and edible wild plants/weeds came from. She always looked forward to Spring to be able to pick her beloved wild ramp, poke, dandelions, and many more. Her mother was a Sunday School teacher and thats where her love for the Bible began. After she graduated, she followed her sisters to live in Akron. Since that was where the jobs were. She worked at the Pflueger Co. in Akron and Diamond Match in Barberton. Her most fun and favorite job was working at curl Kippy's in downtown Akron. There a tall, lanky mechanic from Yellow Cab caught her eye, where he would come in to get coffee for his co-workers. They wouldn't understand why it was always cold when he got back. (L.O.L.) They married on 7-30-50. They had 2 daughters whihc Bonnie always said "that was the happiest days of my life- raising my 2 girls." They bought their house in Portage Lakes in 1957. Shortly after that, Jehovah Witnesses came to their door. Bonnie spent many hours, sometimes staying up all night comparing her old King James Bible with the green New World translation trying to prove J.W. wrong. By the time that K.J. Bible was falling apart she discovered that waht she was learning from the witnesses was "the truth." She became one of the J.W. in 1962. After that she was unstoppable in talking others about God's Kingdom. She loved teaching people the wonderful truth that the Earth she loved so much would not be destroyed, as she always feared as a child. But it would be turned into a beautiful paradise with meek righteous people living on the Earth. Ps 37:10,11,29. She would study the Bible with many. First with her family, her 2 girls, several sisters and her own mother who passed away before she could get Baptized. She studied with her neighbors and those she meets door to door. Many of those she studied with are still active J.W. today. She loved spending time with her family and her family looks forward to being with her again when she is resurrected to that paradise Earth that she looked forward to for over 60 years. John 5:20, 29. Memorial Saturday 2/18 AT 1PM. ID: 730303451 Passcode 084729.
