Allen Wayne Spaulding

Allen Wayne Spaulding, 68 of Kent, Ohio passed away August 30, 2023, at Heather Knolls Nursing Home following years of heart related problems.

He was born May 1, 1955, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of Donald and Ruth (Michael) Spaulding.

On September 25, 1980, he married Barbara (Brugmann) Spaulding. They shared 42 years of marriage.

He graduated from Lakeview High School in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. He served 4 years in the army. He worked for Little Tikes for many years. He was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved watching NASCAR and going to the races. He loved putting model cars together. Allen loved his family and grandchildren.

Allen is preceded in death by his father Donald Spaulding Sr, his mother Ruth Spaulding, his brothers Donald Jr., Rodney, and Jeffery. His grandson, Austin Michael Cheffins also precedes him.

Allen is survived by his wife Barbara Spaulding, his daughters Rachel (Michael) Cheffins and Amanda Criss, his grandchildren Natalie, Nicolas, Ashley, Samantha and Brandon. His sisters Shirley, Sanya, Sharlene, and Tracy. As well as his brothers Gary, Art, Bill, Chuck, and Rick.

The family would like to give a big thank you to Crossroads Hospice and Heather Knolls Nursing Home. Also, a big thank you to Chaplin Bill Ihde.

Cremation has taken place and no service will be done. We will have a celebration of life at a later date
